General Task options:
Keep source files in a subfolder of destination maintaining the source path - Check this if you want the full folder structure of Source to be repeated in the Destination folder.
Try to process "in use" files - Check this to let GrandBackup try to copy, by means of advanced locking techniques, files that are currently in use by other programs. If the program that is currently using the file cannot handle this kind of locking mechanism, it may generate errors.
style='color:red'>Use this option with caution.Verify files after copying - Check this to make GrandBackup compare source and destination files after copying. GrandBackup will do a CRC32 comparison of each pair of files. Selecting this option will slow down the copying since the files will have to be reopened and reread to be compared.
Note:
File comparison will not be performed on files which are moved to an archive or compressed.Overwrite destination files even if they are newer than source files - Normally, GrandBackup does not overwrite newer files with older ones. You can check this option to override the default behavior.
Overwrite non-empty destination files by empty (zero length) source files - Check this to allow GrandBackup to overwrite older destination files by newer, but zero-length source files.
Overwrite if modification dates are equal but the source file is bigger than in Destination - In very rare cases, a file may not be copied in full. Leaving this option checked will correct the error on the next run of the Task.
Clear the source Archive bit after copy - Check this to clear the source files' Archive attribute after copying.
Disable index files (task_id.idx) - This is really a troubleshooting/debugging option. Check this ONLY if you know what you are doing or are specifically advised to by our support staff.
